I need to go buy some new clothing. New in the sense of new style.

I experience this very much when I go clowning. Just dressing like a clown (and the nose too), and the world shifts into a completely new landscape, and the horizon of what it makes sense to do shifts as well.

And the cool part is ofc, that this bleeds back into your everyday clothes, and you can reinvoke that way of being.

Cool!

Charlie recently took a clowning course, and reported similar experiences.

I loved reading/watching this post and video.

As soon as I heard the teaser clip where Charlie described being draped in the heaviness of death and carrying that around, I knew I really wanted to hear the rest of the conversation.

Who is the yidam depicted in the thangka at 2:09? I’ve not encountered them before.

Glad you liked it! That’s Vajrayogini. She’s the main female yidam of the Kagyu School, but isn’t found in Nyingma at all, as far as I know. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vajrayogini

Thank you, but the yidam I’m seeing at 2 minutes 9 seconds looks like a brown man with a wrathful physique. I searched and this doesn’t appear to be a depiction of Vajrayogini

Oh, sorry! That’s Virupa. He’s not a yidam (or, at least, as far I know he’s not practiced as a yidam, although I wouldn’t be surprised if in some lineage he is). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vir%C5%ABpa

Ah! His powerful aspect had me confuse him with a god

I loved this! Creepy clacking bones! But then again, we put and and take off our ornaments daily. Maybe the ornaments are like thoughts, actually creating a being that then appears real. Thank you!
